For parents
See more than marks.
Report cards tell you how a child did. Keniah helps you see how your child engages: what draws them in, how they keep going, and where their curiosity leads.
What an insight looks like
Careful words. A clear reason. Something to try.
Insights appear in your Parent Space only when a pattern has repeated across several Experiences. Each one is written carefully, so it reads as an observation, never a verdict.
Tap Why am I seeing this? and Keniah explains what it observed. Every insight comes with a Try this at home idea that fits into everyday family life.
The card here is an illustration. Try the “Why am I seeing this?” button.
What we're noticing
ExampleWe're beginning to notice…
Trying different approaches
Across several recent problem-solving Experiences, Amani tried more than one approach before moving on.
Try this at home
When Amani gets stuck on something, ask: “What else could you try?” Then let them show you their second idea.

What Keniah notices
The things marks don't show.
Keniah's Experiences are designed so children's natural play leaves helpful traces: choices, retries, revisits and creations. We only look for behaviour an Experience genuinely allows a child to show.
What they return to
The kinds of Experiences your child chooses again, saves or revisits on their own.
How they handle something tricky
Whether they come back after difficulty, or try a different approach when the first one doesn't work.
Where their curiosity goes
When they try unfamiliar formats or follow optional paths to find out more.
How they make and explain
Open-ended creating, trying several designs, giving reasons for choices, where an Experience invites it.
How widely they've explored
Which areas they've spent time in, and which they haven't met yet, so you can open new doors.
Observe before interpreting
Patient by design.
A single moment never becomes a label. Keniah waits for repeated evidence across time and different Experiences before it says anything at all.
- Stage 1
Not enough yet
One moment is never a pattern. Until there's enough to go on, we say nothing.
Nothing shown to parents
- Stage 2
Early signal
Something has appeared more than once. We keep observing quietly.
Nothing shown to parents
- Stage 3
Emerging pattern
It's repeated across several Experiences and sessions.
“We're beginning to notice…”
- Stage 4
Consistent pattern
It holds across time and different kinds of Experiences.
“Across several recent Experiences…”
Our language promise
How we'll talk about your child.
What you'll read
What you won't
“We're beginning to notice…”
Telling you your child is weak at something
“Amani currently appears to enjoy…”
Calling a child gifted
“Across several recent Experiences…”
Labelling a child as one type of learner
“This may be worth exploring further…”
Pathway verdicts or percentages
“Amani has had limited exposure to…”
Naming a learning area as a weakness
Keniah never shows grades, rankings or percentages for your child, and never makes claims about intelligence, diagnoses, personality or future careers. Senior School pathways are something to explore together over time, not a prediction.

Practical, approved ideas for everyday family life.
Help shape Keniah from the start.
We're inviting a small group of Kenyan families with children in Grades 4 to 9 to try Keniah early and tell us what works.
