For Upper Primary and Junior School in Kenya

Learning that grows with your child.

Keniah turns what your child learns at school into stories, short visual content, games and explorations they actually want to come back to. And it helps you see how they engage with the world, beyond marks.

How Keniah works

Explore. Experience. Discover.

Not lesson, then test. Your child chooses what to explore, steps into an Experience, and discovers something about the world and about themselves.

  1. Step 1: Explore

    Explore what sounds fun

Your child browses Experiences by what interests them: stories, games, maps, making things. Keniah also suggests something new now and then, so they discover beyond their usual picks.

  2. Step 2: Experience

    Watch, play, decide, create

Each Experience is connected to what they learn at school, but it feels like a story to follow, a mission to solve or something to make.

  3. Step 3: Discover

    Discover what lights them up

Over time, your child sees where they've been and what they've tried. You see careful observations about how they engage, and ideas to try at home.

More than revision

Not more of the same. A different way in.

Children already spend long days with textbooks. Keniah meets the same curriculum from another angle, one built for curiosity.

Learn it

Every Experience starts from a real learning outcome in the Kenyan curriculum, so the time your child spends on Keniah connects to school.

Experience it

Instead of re-reading notes, children follow a story, play a mission, make a decision or create something, and the idea sticks because they lived it.

Discover more

Gentle suggestions open doors beyond the familiar: a map to explore, a thing to build, a story from somewhere new.

What children experience

Time on screen that's worth it.

Every Keniah Experience has to earn its place on a screen, through animation, interaction, choice or play. No textbook pages pasted into an app.

  • Stories

Narratives with choices, dilemmas and characters worth caring about.

  • Short visual content

Quick, replayable explainers that make an idea visible.

  • Games

Missions with real mechanics, where trying again is part of the fun.

  • Exploration

Maps, models and things to investigate, build and try.

For parents

See more than marks.

Keniah quietly notices how your child engages: what they return to, how they handle something tricky, where their curiosity goes. When a pattern repeats across several Experiences, you'll hear about it, carefully, with a reason and an idea to try at home.

  • Observations, never labels
  • Every insight explains why you're seeing it
  • Practical ideas you can try together

What we're noticing

Example

We're beginning to notice…

Trying different approaches

Across several recent problem-solving Experiences, Amani tried more than one approach before moving on.

Try this at home

When Amani gets stuck on something, ask: “What else could you try?” Then let them show you their second idea.

Curriculum

Connected to what your child learns.

Each Experience is mapped to the Competency-Based Curriculum, right down to a specific learning outcome. Your child sees the fun part. The curriculum work happens behind it.

  1. Curriculum
  2. Grade
  3. Learning area
  4. Strand
  5. Sub-strand
  6. Learning outcome

Help shape Keniah from the start.

We're inviting a small group of Kenyan families with children in Grades 4 to 9 to try Keniah early and tell us what works.
