Draft — pending legal review. This page describes how Keniah intends to work. It is not yet a final legal document and will be updated before public launch.
Child safety
Last updated: Draft, October 2026
Keniah is a space for children to explore. These are the commitments we build to, and they apply to every part of the product.
Our minimum commitments
- No public child profiles. A child's profile is visible only within your family account.
- No public rankings. Children are never compared with one another.
- No child-to-child messaging. Children can't contact, or be contacted by, other users.
- No open AI chat. Children don't chat with an AI. Every Experience is reviewed by people before release.
- Minimal child data. A nickname and grade are enough to start.
- Parent consent first. A parent or guardian creates the account and records consent for each child.
- Secure sign-in. Parent-only areas, including insights, consent and settings, sit behind the parent's password, even on a shared device.
Healthy use
Achievements celebrate curiosity, persistence, strategy and discovery. We don't reward late night use or speed for its own sake, and we avoid designs that pressure children to stay on screen.
What we will never claim
Keniah does not diagnose, label or predict. We will never present a child's intelligence, personality, giftedness, health conditions or future career as a finding, and we never place a child in a Senior School pathway.
Review before launch
Keniah's privacy and child-safety practices will be independently reviewed before public launch, and this page will be updated with the outcome.
Raising a concern
If something on Keniah worries you, we want to hear about it. A dedicated contact for safety concerns will be published here before launch. Read more in our Privacy notice.
